What do healthy living and architecture have in common? They share the latest trend in franchise opportunities!
Over the past several years the top food franchises have offered fast, easy, and affordable solutions to avoid the kitchen. But this “pick up your meal in a brown bag” convenience adds sugars, oils and additives that are void of nutritional value, and which have contributed to the increasing number of children and adults in the US who suffer from obesity. In addition, sedentary activities such as video games, television and online surfing used in excess are causing many to miss getting the exercise they need. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, one in five children between the ages of 6-16 and 36.5% of adults in the U.S. are obese. It’s no surprise that the American public has sparked a new interest in health, exercise, nutrition, and overall wellness.
This interest has transformed itself into a growing trend that is found in the new types of franchises that have been opening up and gaining popularity around the nation.
This trend has enabled our firm to develop and service a host of franchises focusing on exercise and fitness: Get Air, Retro Fitness, Orange Theory Fitness, Solcioty, and Pulse Fitness; each of which are helping to fill the latest industry “Health and Wellness” niche in their own unique way.
Get Air has got kids jumping and getting fit on trampolines in Pennsylvania, Georgia, New Jersey, Colorado, and Connecticut! Safe Splash Swim School is reintroducing swimming to America’s youth, while YogaFit Studio instructors are bending and stretching its members to better health.
Another fast-moving trend is in the food service industry: Quick Service Restaurants are being developed that include healthier options such as smoothies, protein drinks, natural foods and specialty salads on their menus. Franchises such as Clean Juice, Vitality Bowls, Tropical Smoothie and Forever Yogurt are just a few of the “health and fitness” eateries Lasky Architect is helping expand into new markets every week.
According to the IFA (International Franchise Association), the franchise industry grew close to 1.7% in 2016 and will continue in 2017 with a strong demand for health and fitness. Lasky Architect P.A. is registered in more than 30 states and we are providing services throughout the United States to a wide variety of franchises.
Whether our clients are re-branding, expanding, or designing a unique new franchise, it’s exciting and promising to know that the latest franchising trends are geared for what we need the most: A healthy American lifestyle.
